Project Program:

The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority selected Don Todd Associates in association with Ross Wilson & Associates as construction project managers for the Kenfield Homes Project, located in Buffalo, New York. The Kenfield Homes Phase II project is a Public housing facility consisting of 33 buildings which have previously undergone extensive reconstruction to give it a new look. New architectural Hip Roofs replaced the flat conventional roofs. Interior retrofit of systems, asbestos & lead paint abatement was performed.

The scope of this project consisted of upgrading and replacement of domestic water and fire protection, water main up-grades, sewer drain renovation and new installations. It also includes demolition and reconstruction of stoops and stairs at all units, new sidewalks and handrails at all units. The electrical upgrade includes installation of new switches, transformers and direct burial of primary and secondary feeder cables to all buildings. Also removal of the existing site lighting and the installation of new conduit, wire and grounding for new site lighting bases, poles and fixtures must be completed. Re-grading of topsoil, seeding and landscaping which includes new shrubs, trees and ornamental fencing, benches in the courtyards throughout the site. Additionally new curbs and asphalt road surfaces for affected streets and parking areas around the site including the striping of all parking areas.
